Welcome to Milton Keynes Gymnastics, the home of champions ranging from Buck’s county champions all the way up to European and world champions.  But also the home for kids who just want to have fun and enjoy the sport of gymnastics

The club is a charity run by a team of 4 directors who keep the club running smoothly, putting the children first and making it a happy, exciting and enjoyable time for all.

The club is based at the Kingston centre just behind Tesco’s in Milton Keynes , England . We can boast that our facilities are one of the biggest and best purpose-built centres in the country. The gymnasium is 40 metres by 40 metres with a fitness studio and ballet room also built in. We have a café and bar area with a built in seating gallery as well as changing rooms and showers for both male and female. It is a friendly place to come as it is just our club that occupy the centre making it more personal than a normal leisure centre.  It is one of the very few Gym clubs where you can watch your child taking part in the sport they love.

With over 2000 members coming through the doors a week both children, teenagers and adults, we are committed to providing the best quality coaching and customer service making your time here as fun and enjoyable as possible.  The classes start for mums and toddlers right up to adult gym.

The centre and staff won many awards throughout the 23 years of the centre being open. At this moment we have the young persons Buck’s sports personality of the year and were finalists in the arts/sports community project award. Two of our coaches Charlotte and Helen were runners up for sports coaches of the year due to their dedication and love of the sport.

Most of our coaches are our previous champions, including our two head coaches who represented the club, at county, region and at international competitions on numerous occasions.

We also have former Olympian Lisa Mason coaching for us as well as Russian Junior Champion Kirill Grigoryev.

All of our coaches and staff are fully committed to provide fun, excitement and care in addition to technical coaching in the most spectacular and difficult Olympic sport.
Star Invitational Competition
On the 20th June 2010 we held our first Star Invitational Competition, 5 clubs were involved, Jersy Gymnastics Club, Burnham Gymnastics Club, Rugby Gymnastics Club, Dunstable Gymnastics Club and ourselves.

Lots of medals and trophies were given out as it was a medal for each piece and a trophy for the overalls.

The other competitor for Mk Gym was Larisha Lee who competed in the elite 5 category, Larisha had an impressive comp for such a young gymnast, She showed great talent and held her nerve well against GB's best of that age, Passing with a mark of distinction and claiming a top spot on Beam. Gymnast Compete in Austria

5 of our gymnast flew to Innsbruck Austria to compete in the Attila Pinter International Competition on March 18th.

This Competition is by many clubs and countries used as a trial for European Championships so it was clear to the girls and boys competing that they had to do their best against some of the best junior gymnasts in Europe. The girls took to the stage first and with beam as their first piece the pressure was on, all the girls had new beam routines with new moves to compete and coped with them extreamely well, they then proceeded to vault for another clean round. Bars followed and a new bar routine again proved that the girls were having a good comp. Floor was their final piece and all 3 girls competed with such prefessionalism, new tumbles and choreography showed some PB's for their marks on floor. A fantastic comp flying the GB & MK Gym flag proudly were Caolifhinn Mcginnity, Charlotte & Eleanor Smithson. In the boys section Dylan Zastron competed all new rutines and did us pround showing that all his work had paid offby claiming a 20 spot. MILTON KEYNES GYMNASTICS ACHIEVES GYMMARK

Congratulations to all our coaches and staff who have helped us towards achieving our GymMark award. This is an award in partnership with sport England and sports councils which recognizes clubs which provide quality experiences. The criteria to achieve this has been to ensure we are providing a safe, effective and child friendly environment and to constantly keep up to date all our records on qualification of coaches and their ratios, CRB checks for all helpers and coaches and processes to monitor safety.

It also means that all our staff are trained to the highest of standard within their field of expertise. Included within this is child protection, equity and ethics. We provide equal opportunities to all the community from pre school to adults and offer this to all levels of ability.

It has taken some time to achieve this due to the many coaches we have here and the need to get them qualified in the many different areas in order to comply with these regulations. Our thanks go out to all our staff and coaches who have sacrificed many a weekend to attend various courses!
