| SUMMER GALA |
| It was a fantastic gala that Kingston gymnastics put on Sunday 19th July. With nearly 250 gymnasts and dancers entered and 42 different shows, it was a record! In the morning we had all our pre school classes dancing to the glow worm song and then showing how brave they were on the balance beam. Then we had all our recreation gymnasts performing to songs such as high school musical, Hannah Montana and the Wizard of Oz. We had our development squads, some in very sparkly costumes, dancing to Abba and flashdance. We had all our pretty ballerinas in lovely costumes and all our cheer leaders too putting on some great dances. After lunch we had a brilliant performance by NEMISIS which received a huge round of applause. In the afternoon all our squads put on various shows for the audience with our junior boys performing a rap dance. Our finale with our senior boys, girls and the star of the show, 4 year old Lana doing a production of Thriller all dressed up in their zombie gear! We then had a Thriller dance off with all the coaches and gymnasts joining in, coach Alison Johns won. Julie Doyle, Manager, was presented with our gym mark plaque from British Gymnastics by Helen Bushel who came to see the gala. If you would like any information on any of the classes please call 01908 586500 or Email gym@mkgym.co.uk or go to www.mkgym.co.uk. |
